It’s a safe pedicure type of summer everyone and with it comes hot weather and all kinds of adorable, sexy open toe shoes and sandals that brings about a need to keep your toes looking presentable at all times (at least through the summer). We all know the best way to make the above happen is to get regular pedicures. The sound and thought of a pedicure is relaxing and exciting and while pedicures are generally harmless, there’s a question: What are the risks?
If you go to a spa where the foot spas and tools have not been properly disinfected, you are at risk of picking up an infection or getting a nasty fungus infection and those aren’t fun or relaxing to deal with. Your safest decision is to choose a spa or salon that offers disposable liners and tools or make sure if the tools are not disposable that they have been through a sterilization process, which completely destroys all living organisms on an object or surface. Here at Luxe day spa in Tampa we make sure to follow all guidelines of sanitation, disinfection and sterilization by using products that have been registered with the EPA, meaning it is bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal free. Placing our non-disposable tools in an autoclave sterilizer machine, where tools are placed in a disposable pouch and are only open in front of the client right before the pedicure begins will ensure there is no cross contamination. Our buffers, files and pumice stones are disposable, meaning one per client and toss:)
We stand by our high standards of decontamination and sterilization and care for our client’s health and safety, so the next time you think of pampering yourself with a pedicure, make sure to call Luxe day Spa in Tampa and get pampered with a safe pedicure 🙂
Happy Summer and sandals galore to all : -)
